6 tips to avoid Procrastination as an Intern.

“Never put off till tomorrow what may be done day after tom just as well.”

Hello all! Myself Prinson Fernandes, working as a flutter developer intern at Haztech innovations and I am going to tell you about how to avoid delay as an intern.
As a college student studying in TY. I face a lot of difficulties as an intern right from my college work to office workload there is a delay and no proper time management. Here are reasons which can lead to delay as an intern

1) Time management –

Due to no proper time management, interns may struggle to balance their internship responsibilities with their other commitments, such as college work or part time jobs.

2) Workloads –

Interns may be given with a heavy workload that is difficult to manage, leading to stress and burnout which can cause delay of work since it will be a waste of time not knowing it.

3) Unclear goals and expectations –

Interns may not fully understand what is expected of them, leading to confusion, frustration and work delay which is needed to be completed.

Here were a few reasons.

Now I am going to give you few tips about how to avoid delay as an intern

1)Set clear expectations –

At the beginning of your internship, ask your mentor for clear instructions on what is expected of you, including deadlines and priorities. Make sure you understand the scope of your responsibilities and what needs to be accomplished.

2)Use a task management system –

Keep track of your assignments and deadlines in a task management system such as Trello etc. Always update your task by filling the End of the day report. This will help you stay organized and ensure that you don’t miss any important tasks.

3) Communicate regularly

Check in with your mentor on a regular basis to update them on your progress and ask for feedback. This will help you identify any potential roadblocks or issues before they become bigger problems.

4) Prioritize tasks –

If you have multiple tasks with similar deadlines, prioritize them based on importance and urgency. This will help you focus on the most important tasks first and avoid delay.

5) Be proactive –

Don’t wait for your mentor to tell you what to do. Look for ways to contribute and take on new challenges. This will help you learn and grow as an intern and demonstrate your value to the organization.

6) Learn from mistakes –

If you do encounter delays or make mistakes, take responsibility and learn from them. Use them as opportunities to improve and demonstrate your ability to learn and adapt.

I would like to conclude by saying that as an intern, you are there to learn and gain experience. By being proactive, organized, and communicative, you can make the most of your internship and avoid delays.
